Ultra Street

Ultra Street is one of the newest categories in the drag radial craze, kicking off just a few short years ago by the helm of John Sears and Donald Long. Also known as Ultimate Street, the strictly limited power adders and tire selections make Ultra Street a tough yet exciting category to watch and compete in. With naturally aspirated, nitrous oxide, turbochargers and superchargers all piled within a few narrow thousandths of a second, the nation’s top Ultra Street racers are always fighting it out to see who takes home a victory. While the category is in the 4.70 range for most events, it is a great entry level category for anybody wanting to get their start in small tire, drag radial racing. Ultra Street has been a great addition to our event year in and year out with a host of racers fighting it out to determine who ends up victorious in an always tough and competitive category of racing. All four power combinations stacked into one class make Ultra Street a fan favorite, along with the stock appearance of the cars outside of spoilers, bumpers and parachutes hanging off the rear of the car for safety reasons. Be sure to keep your eye on the up and coming Ultra Street class going forward as 2018 promises to be one of the best seasons for the class in recent years. Listed below is our payout for the 2018 edition along with the class rules.

Tony Alm brought his turbocharged Ultra Street monster to the fourth running of the Outlaw Street Car Reunion, even though he fought breakage, Alm’s presence was felt with a 4.74 in the pre-race test session.
