Video: Josh Klugger, Pro Line Racing and FuelTech Log First 3-Second Run in Pro275 History!

While it’s a category that we do not feature at the Holley EFI Outlaw Street Car Reunion V, we are all about big performances and when two of our top marketing partners along with a close friend and supporter behind the wheel joining together on a record, Speed Promotions, LLC is going to talk about it.

Josh Klugger, the 2017 NMCA Radial Wars champion, hailing from Ocala, Florida has had one thing on his mind over the past few months and it’s running the first 3-second lap in Pro275 competition, under their current rules package. Well, tonight on a cool Florida evening at the historic Orlando Speed World Dragway, Klugger and team did just that. Pro Line Racing tuning mind, Jamie Miller, is on site lighting the fire in the pipes and on the key board. With a number of 4.0x passes throughout the day, Miller and Klugger were poised to knock down the barrier after a 4.02 and 4.01 in earlier qualifying sessions. As the atmospheric conditions came to their side as well, Wade Rich and the OSW team laid down a near perfect layer of traction compound and rubber to propel Klugger to a 3.975 elapsed time at a tick over 198 miles per hour!

Klugger relies upon a 481X engine hailing from Pro Line Racing, a twin set of Turbo by Garrett turbochargers and a FuelTech FT500 engine management system. In a quick note from the aforementioned Miller, “Josh (Klugger) has put together a stout car that is a proven championship piece along with a record holder. Racecraft provided a great working chassis and with Pro Line Racing horsepower and FuelTech’s near infinite tuning abilities, we knew we had a great chance to be the first to the 3-second range in Pro275 trim.”

Klugger will take this 3.975 run to sit atop the qualifying sheet at the World Outlaw Nationals (WON) this weekend, going into eliminations tomorrow morning. We at Speed Promotions, LLC wish Klugger, Miller and all involved the best of luck to finish off the weekend in style tomorrow!
